Operating since 2018, Rock Your Data started as a space analytics company — working with large-scale space telemetry, IoT data, and image recognition for Earth observation. We've since expanded into traditional business segments, where our team builds petabyte-scale solutions and drives analytics modernization and AI workloads.

Meet the founder

Dmitry Anoshin

Founder of Rock Your Data & Surfalytics

Dmitry Anoshin is an engineering leader, author, and educator with 15+ years building data and AI platforms across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.

His career began in space: he built spacecraft hardware at Khrunichev — on the Proton and Angara launch vehicles — and later worked on LEO satellites at Amazon. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering.

He has delivered data and AI solutions for organizations from global enterprises like Amazon, Microsoft, and Deloitte to fast-growing startups, and founded Rock Your Data, the Surfalytics community, and Player One Space.

Dmitry taught Cloud Computing Fundamentals at the University of Victoria from 2019 to 2025 and has authored 10 technical books on analytics and data engineering.
